Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions we get from clients

How many drones do you fly per show?

Show size depends on the brief and the venue. We typically fly between 100 and 500+ drones per show. For shapes that need to read clearly from far away — logos at a stadium, for example — more drones make a real difference. For close-range corporate events, a smaller fleet usually does the job.

Are drone shows safe and approved?

Yes. Every show goes through aviation authority approval (GCAA in the UAE, plus local clearances for the venue). We handle the permit process end-to-end. The drones themselves use GPS and obstacle awareness, and we always plan for buffer airspace around the audience.

Can drone shows replace fireworks?

For most events, yes. They produce no smoke, no debris, and no loud explosions, which makes them suitable for indoor venues, environmentally sensitive areas, and audiences with noise concerns. The visual language is different from fireworks, but the impact is comparable, especially for branded moments.

Many clients combine the two: drones for shapes and storytelling, fireworks for the finale.

How far in advance do we need to book?

For standard shows, 6–8 weeks is comfortable. Custom choreography and complex 3D animations push that to 10–12 weeks because content design and approvals take time. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible if we have an existing show that fits.

What happens in bad weather?

Drones fly in light wind and dry conditions. Heavy rain, fog, or strong winds (typically over 8 m/s) will ground the show. We monitor weather in the days leading up and on the day itself, and we always plan a contingency window or a make-good date.

Where can drone shows be performed?

Outdoor open-air venues are the easiest: stadiums, beaches, deserts, festival grounds, corporate campuses. Indoor shows are also possible with smaller drones in arenas and large halls — these usually require more rehearsal time but allow tight integration with stage cues and speaker programs.

How long is a typical show?

Most shows run 5–12 minutes. Anything shorter feels rushed; anything longer than 15 minutes tends to lose the audience unless the choreography keeps evolving. We design around story beats — opening, brand reveal, climax — rather than a fixed runtime.
