Common questions we get from clients
Holobox is a transparent display unit that shows a person, product, or logo as a 3D, hologram-like figure. Clients use it at events, in exhibitions, and in retail spaces where a regular flat screen would just blend in. The footage can be pre-recorded, streamed live, or driven by an AI avatar.
Inside the transparent enclosure is a display system calibrated for content prepared specifically for it. The footage is usually filmed against a black background and edited so the subject reads as a 3D figure. To a viewer, it feels closer to a person standing there than a video on a screen, which is why it works in busy public spaces. With the right integration, it can also respond to the viewer.
Some of the ways clients use it:
Yes, with the right setup. You'll need:
If live streaming isn't needed, the same unit can loop a pre-recorded clip all day.
Once the AI integration is in place, the avatar can talk to visitors, guide them, and answer questions about whatever scenario you've built: product Q&A, service walkthroughs, lead qualification. The interaction feels different from looping the same video.
What you'll need at the venue:
The full-size unit is roughly 50 cm wide and 222 cm tall, and it's heavy, so it's worth deciding where it goes early in your booth or lobby plan. You'll also want to think about viewing angles and how visitors will walk past it.
Content production usually goes like this:
Swapping out the recorded content for a new campaign or seasonal message is straightforward, especially if the unit is connected to the internet or to a content management workflow. Offline playback works too, depending on how it's configured. For events, we usually suggest preparing one short loop and one longer explainer.
For close-up engagement with each visitor, Holobox usually wins. For a city-block-sized spectacle, projection mapping is the answer.
There are smaller versions for tight spaces or when you need to move the unit between locations. Which one fits depends on venue size, expected visitor volume, viewing distance, and whether you need clear floor space in front for an interactive setup.
Pricing comes down to a few things:
There's a control panel that handles play and pause, scene switching, scheduling, and content updates. For events, you can either bring us in for on-site managed operation, or we can train your team to run it. The managed option is usually safer when AI interaction or live streaming is involved.
All three are available: buy, rent, or lease. The right option usually depends on how many events you run per year, how much technical support you want included, and whether the content is pre-recorded, live, or AI-driven.
We have a dedicated page on holographic advertising in Dubai — campaign examples, the venues we typically work in (malls, exhibitions, hotel lobbies), and how a Dubai activation comes together end to end.
